Brewing Schedule

16 March 2011 - comments

Busy working on our brewing schedule for the next 3 months. We have got a really busy time with export orders in March and April and early May. Then we have the TT the first 2 weeks in June and we start brewing up for this in May.
We are brewing 5 days a week for the next 3 months with upto 3 brews on many days. The old problem of only having 1 small fermenter is causing a real headache and its a real jugggling act moving beer around to free up the small fermenter. We have never had to plan the brewing so carefully to maximise the vessel usage. Desperately need a another fermenter or a small pilot brew plant to allow us to do the small volumes required for local specials. More I think about it a 5 Brl brew plant would get us out of many of the problems caused by the lack of a small fermenter

About Okells - BREWING TRADITION SINCE 1850

Okell's award winning brewery has been producing the finest ales for over 150 years. Situated in the Isle of Man, the brewery nestles in the unique countryside of the island with its mountain springs, rolling glens and pure shores.

The Isle of Man is internationally recognised for its natural produce, and all our beers are brewed in accordance with the Island's famous Brewing Purity Laws which, similar to the Bavarian Beer Laws, forbid the use of any additives as a substitute for the natural brewing ingredients of malt, sugar and hops.
